Instead of looking at voter who must choose between voting for a candidate, lets take a look at a working family man who must choose between three different job opportunities. The first job consists of working as a weapon researcher designing new ways to kill people while making a living. The second job position comprises of working at an oil refinery making a mediocre living while contributing to the ongoing problem of climate change. The last job position consists of working as a bull rider, which is the mans dream job, while making less than minimum wage. Faced with these three options, while having to support his family, which option should the man choose?Anyone who says he should take the bull riding position is a sick person and needs medical attention ASAP. Therefore the option lies between the weapon researcher and the oil refinery. Both jobs are not pure angelic jobs, however, without a doubt the lesser of two evils is choosing the job working at the oil refinery. This same principle should be applied for when someone is voting for a candidate. You can vote for someone who isn't in the race, but what would be the purpose of this vote other than to make yourself feel good. By doing this you are forgetting about your "family" who you must support.
