I do believe that if this universe would be destroyed, then something of value would be lost. I believe that all life in general has some moral value to some extent because it is made of biological material that can survive and reproduce by itself. This by itself is of value. I also believe that these complex ecosystems consisting of biotic and abiotic organisms are of some value. This is because they are beautiful and undergo so many processes in themselves. This complexity has value because humans have value because of our complexity. However, I can see the other side to the argument. Some believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If no sentient beings are there to experience this world, then what is the issue if it is destroyed? No sentient beings are losing anything because they don’t even know it exists. Nothing in that universe has to feel anything- physical or emotional so technically there is nothing sophisticated that is lost, only physical.
