Critical question: we may sometimes see some animals that they have to do something to protect their own needs. For instance, there is an alone island with a man and his dog. We assume there is no food in the future and both of them are hungry. There might be two kinds of actions for the dog. First, protect his master until it dies which is really cruel but it corresponds to its feeling needs: loyalty to its master. Second, try to eat his master and live for a longer time to survive. These are the basic needs of any animal. I am not sure what will hierarchy apply to these actions. I think this may be helpful for you. I like your presentation!
