Schopenhauer has been really interesting to me and I think I might instead write my paper on him.
There is something in me that resonates with his work and ideas but I cant help but see his ideas in a much different view that he did himself. While schopenhauer was a D1 pessimist, I find a sort of comfort, a sort of solace in his ideas. I think his ideas can be applied and understood and even further adopted into peoples' own lives to a great degree while not being miserable wretches.
His influence from eastern philosophy is something I want to continue reading on.
I want to write a paper on how his ideas are largely applicable and palatable even, but served with tinges of his idiosyncratic pessimism.
In short: Schopenhauer is whiny for no reason. Are his ideas solid even in modern day and how may they not be helpful?
Ok, Goodnight.
